The Answer Is : “The French don’t always think that highly of us anyway”
The question? What did Alex Trebek say on Jeopardy, Thursday April 12th 2007 during an aside talk with contestant Chris Dellicarpini? The comment was made after the contestant told Alex about his trip to France where he damaged a rental car by putting regular gas instead of diesel. Trebek also said in conclusion, “That’s France all right”.
While neither comment constitutes outright French Bashing, the general undertone of the exchange is based on prejudice of perceived prejudice. We expect more from Alex, seriously.
