Despite the warming relations between Washington and Paris, a few dead-horse floggers are still pushing their Anti-French pamphlets in a late and desperate attempt at profiteering from ignorance and bigotry.
Veteran foreign correspondent and columnist Richard Chesnoff has been busy pushing his subtly named book “The Arrogance of the French: Why They Can’t Stand Us–and Why the Feeling Is Mutual” on such receptive outlets as Fox’s Bill O’Reilly.
O’REILLY: They don’t like the Germans, obviously, all right? They don’t like the British. Right?
CHESNOFF: Definitely not.
O’REILLY: They don’t like the Spanish.
CHESNOFF: Not too much. No.
O’REILLY: Look down on them. Italians, I don’t think they care one way or the other, and they don’t like us. They don’t really like anybody.
Yet this book does not seem to have had much exposure other than O’Reilly’s soap box. So who else has been helping Chesnoff get some much needed coverage ? Does the name Mark Molesky ring a bell ?
