Solo Mobile, a Canadian Cell Phone carrier has been featuring a new commercial where an agitated French boulanger is enraged with his current baker because of the quality of the baguettes.
While he smashes the baguettes down repeatedly, he manages to utter a few anti-French statements such as “no I don’t wear deodorant”. To add insult to injury, he is then portrayed as dishonest, since he does not hesitate to sell the substandard product to a frazzled customer.
We expect more from responsible advertisers and French-Canadian actors.
