  2. Anyone watched Bill O’Rilley today (Friday February 14)? Fox News ran a soundbite several times yesterday, in which Bill announces a G.M. ad “mocking the French” on his upcoming show. I couldn’t wait to see it.

This is what the ad looks like:

Personally, I did not find the ad offensive nor mocking. What WAS offensive however was Bernard McGruik’s insults about the French: “Their men smell and their women don’t shave…”. What’s even worse is the fact that McGruik (a well-known jerk) had O’Reilly and Fox News’ full blessing as the soundbite was obviously recorded after the segment. I have contacted O’Rilley and Fox News and encourage you to do the same. Ask them the question: Would Fox News / O’Reilly get away with this had they insulted any other nationality without the obligatory apology?

    1. Hey Marc, same here, the ad is not offensive in the least. In fact, I’ve met Neal McDonough, he’s a real French Movie aficionado. As for the comments made by Bernard McGruik, nothing new under the sun alas…

    2. Btw sorry your coment got locked into the system, I haven’t been around much lately on the site !

    1. Yes they are!!!. I am so disgusted by French people who live here and who put France down. It definitely does not serve France and says a lot about these individuals. If Americans always pride their country and it is not the case of the French. How sad!!
